Guild Rules and Guidelines

Sadistic Requirements:

* Ventrilo: Every member of the guild will be expected to have vent installed and operational at ANY raid or guild function. While we don't require that you speak on it, it does make things easier.

* Mods: Not sure if this will be applicable yet, but if it is we will require you to have any guild mods downloaded, installed, and up-to-date. Most mods that we want you to have will be available through this site under the gallery section.

* Age: We hope since this is a M rated game most children under 18 won't be playing, but if there are we expect to know about it. If you are an adult and want your child to have access to this guild, YOU take all responsibility for said child and are clear that this is not a "safe for children" guild. Expect harsh language and the such.

Officers:

* Office: Officers will be elected and voted upon by the guild or other officers depending on the situation. To start the guild off Draecon will be promoting place holders to get us going. These positions are temporary and will be by trusted people from our past mmorpgs.

* Responsibilities: Each main officer ( General) will be made to govern a group of people pre-designated by the guild and be responsible for filling any gaps made by retiring players. Recruitment will be done for that group by its General and his subordinates (Praetorians) . It is the responsibility of the Praetorian to handle any disputes of members or initiates and also assist his or her General in day-to-day activities.

* Officer Termination: At any given time if the other officers or guild members feel that an officer is not doing their job, The guild leader (Warlord) and other officers will have a meeting and discuss the situation with said officer. If the issues can not be resolved, a new election will be held and a new officer promoted. In the rare case of an officer causing heavy problems for the guild, they will be demoted or removed from the guild (situational).

* Individual Responsibilities: Some officers may find that they are tasked with additional "jobs" such as "Recruiter", "Raid Leader" "Siege Lead", to just name a few. It will be expected that the officer will not only perform normal duties but a specialization as well.

Members:

* Participation: Since this guild will be based off of progression (in all aspects of the game) Raid spots in both PvP and PvE will be determined by participation. Now this does not mean the player that is on the most, or has the highest level characters. Participation may include: Resource gathering and management, Crafting, and generally helping other members of the guild.

* Member Ranks: Besides officer ranks, members will also have a sort of hierarchy within themselves. If you gain rank in the guild, it will be up to you and you alone to keep it. If you do not participate or help other members expect to lose that rank.

* Member Termination: There is no 3 strikes and you are out in this guild . You may be removed on your first serious infraction, depending on its severity or its impact on the guild as a whole. You may also just be removed from active raiding for a determined amount of time, or take a demotion in rank.

Raiding:

* Raid Ready: This web site has a feature called "Raid Ready" which basically lets us know if you are able to raid. You will be able to raid if: You participate to guild standards, and have an appropriate online time. Raid status can be taken away if you disobey rules or cause disorder in the guild itself. Any member will have the self ability to remove their own raid status if they will be going away for an extended period of time. Simply tell your officer and they will remove it temporarily.

* Raids: There will be 2 types of raiding in AoC, PvP and PvE.
o PvP: This will include any Borderlands Scheduled events as well as last minute resource grabs for a scheduled event. Leadership of any PvP raid will be determined ahead of time by the group that has scheduled the raid. Meaning that if team 1 schedules a raid, they are in charge of leading the raid and unless they ask for the help of other team officers they make all raid calls. PvP raids will need to be coordinated through all team leads.

o PvE: Any raids on any dungeon that has a lockout timer will need to be scheduled and cleared through the officers. Any loot gained in said dungeon will be distributed by guild loot rules (See below) Raid Ready members will have priority raid spots. Raid spots will be determined by "Classed needed", meaning just because you are raid ready and a soldier class it does not mean you get a spot if more healing is required.

Loot Distribution:

* EP/GP: Effort Points/Gear Priority allows us to track participation as well as loot that has been assigned to the character in question. The way loot will be assigned is as follows: example 1: Player a and player b have both been on an equal amount of raids and officers feel their participation is roughly the same. A weapon drops and it is an upgrade for both, but it is a substantial increase for player A and only a moderate increase for player B. We would hope that B passes to A , if not it more than likely will be assigned to A based off of his gear.

* Disputes: This system is not perfect and players may feel that the upgrade is not that different between the players that want it. If you have a concern simply send a tell to the raid leader and let them know before it gets distributed. Any complaints after the fact will be considered to be petty if they were not brought up during the looting in question, and may be grounds for reprimanding.

Teams:

* Team Setup: Teams will be formed based off of skill level, participation and the players style.

o Team 1: This team will be formed with the explicit idea of progression. This means the best players with the best playtimes will be used to push through any dungeons or battlegrounds in order to be teachers for the other teams. This team will have the hardest raid schedule and be expected to participate more than anyone else in the guild. If you are not on this team and you want to be, I would suggest honing your skills and maybe make yourself more available for raiding. There will be absolutely no whining or complaining if you do not get picked for this team.

o Team 2: Only slightly less hardcore than Team 1. This team will be right behind team 1 as far as progression and raiding. People with a little less playtime or skill level will be best suited for team 2. Team 1 will not recruit from outside the guild if a spot opens up, they will look to team 2. So if you are interested here is where you prove it.

o Team 3: Made up of new recruits or players with extremely limited playtime, or maybe just players who like to be a mentor to new players, Team 3 is the place for you. While you will still be raiding, the raid times will be a lot more flexible and understanding.

o Team 4: This team is made of strictly PvP'ers and hardcore crafters. If you find yourself always at the anvil or face to face with your enemies, look no further for a place to call home. This group is mainly for people who are not interested in PvE content, and have a distinct style of play. Since Age of Conan has many different aspects of play, we will make sure we have room for all different styles as well. Being on this team will not exclude you from any activities with the guild, especially Borderlands sieging, or Player town defense.

* All Rules are subject to change without notice.
*any questions or comments feel free to post them in the forums under the appropriate category or send a pm to an officer.
