I had a e6750 & 2x1GB Ballistix 6400 running on a Gigabyte DS3R, and ran on highest settings at a constant 30-40fps.
I upgraded to a e8400 & 2x1GB Corsair DDR3 10600 on an Asus P5E3 Deluxe and was getting 60-70fps, but would hit lag spikes where I'd get a chop ever 10-30 seconds. Far from unbearable as it is for maybe a quarter of a second, but still unacceptable for the money spent. I've ordered an e8500 and 2x2GB DDR3. Though it still may not run it as smoothly as the e6750 is. It's all in the programming I have a feeling I'm going to see a huge benefit from it though when keep raids start up.

The inte dual core cpu E8400 3.0G/6M/1333= $230
Intel dp35 MB = $145
Videocard, GEFORCE XLR8 8800GT PCIE 2.0 CTLR 512MB 2X DUAL DVI-I HDTV 400W REQ = $249
4gb mem = $99
500gb sata hdd = $96
Case = $55 (if new case)
DVD = $40
what would this set up get me as far as fps on max settings minus the bs stuff like shadows and what not. the stuff you really dont notice.

IMO 30-40fps is good. Especially for this game. I think i average 40 maxed but well see when 48vs48 comes out.

so witht he above set up do you think ill pull out 30-40fps? man.. 48vs48 is pretty instense.. think the servers can be causing some of the lag or fps to lower? i thought heavy populated servers always had more lag then less populated one. true? so tell me what you think of that set up. cuz im having it built.

30-40 fps is good game play. It's smooth and pretty. I do however anticipate that for raids and sieges I will most likely turn down textures some.
The computer you want to buy would be nice. I'm not sure what RAM you are looking at though, and don't forget to get a good power supply, don't skimp on a cheap one.

im not sure of the "name" of the ram but im sure it'll be 800mhz or something along those lines. the guy who i have building the computer will not skimp on the power. ill be doing the same as far as turning down stuff for seiges and raids.

I'm running a e2200 with 2gb of ddr2 ram and a 8800gts all juiced by 450 watts and I'm seeing at most 20fps. Something ain't right. Gonna try my 500w psu that I have. Other wise might have to get a new CPU. On a sidenote does anybody who has an 8800 gts know if you need to plug in both connectors from the power cable coming from the gpu?

30fps is fine, your eye wouldn't even be able to discern the difference between 30 and 50fps. I was running a Q9300 and actually got 70-80FPS, but I was getting spikes with that processor that would drop me to 10FPS and cause noticeable lag, so I stuck with my lower end e6750. It only gets 30-40FPS as opposed to 70-80, but it's more consistent.

I actually just posted this to someone else, but if u havent got one already......
My computer runs excellent on max graphics... i have very high FPS.... with max I have anywhere from 60 - 170 ( in certain instances) around 70-100 normally. Occasionally may drop to 40 in larger group battle, but your eyes can only see 30, I believe. I looked around a lot, my specs are in my sig. My video card is rediculous.... seriously. I am sure what I configured will be cheaper now too. I configured of cyberpowerpc.com system cost me $1800, but that was with other unneeded extras too, and a freekin sweet case. If you want any more info let me know.....
